January Stramaglia is a family law attorney and the founder of January Family Law, LLC, serving clients throughout the Chicago area. She has more than a decade of experience practicing family and divorce law and focuses on helping individuals and families navigate complex domestic relations matters. Her practice includes divorce, parenting and allocation of parental responsibilities, maintenance, child support, and other family law disputes.
January began practicing law in California in 2010 and later established a family law practice in San Jose. In 2019, she founded January Family Law, LLC with a focus on providing efficient and responsive legal representation to families in the Chicago area. She continues to oversee the firm's client matters while guiding its attorneys in handling a variety of family law cases.
Her professional experience also includes significant work involving children and contested family matters. Chicago Volunteer Legal Services recognized January in 2022 for her work as a Child Representative, noting her involvement in challenging adoption, divorce, and Child Representative/Guardian ad Litem cases. She has also provided pro bono legal services through CVLS and participated in family-law community programs.
Licensed in Illinois, January is a member of the Chicago Bar Association. She represents clients from the firm's Chicago and Northbrook offices and works with families facing difficult legal decisions involving divorce, parenting, support, and related domestic relations issues.
