About Jennifer
Jennifer Fredeman is an of counsel attorney with The Law Offices of Joseph A. Marra, PLLC in Yonkers, New York, bringing more than a decade of experience in the legal field. Her practice has involved a broad range of matters, including estate planning and administration, real estate transactions, civil litigation, appellate practice, will drafting, and foreclosure defense. She began her career with the firm as a law clerk, assisting attorneys with diverse caseloads before joining the firm as an attorney.
Jennifer has developed particularly valuable experience in estate administration and real estate law. During the residential foreclosure crisis, she represented homeowners facing foreclosure, appearing in court, preparing legal memoranda and affirmations, handling real estate closings, and researching complex mortgage and foreclosure issues. She also has experience preparing appellate briefs and handling appellate matters. After gaining experience with other firms, Jennifer returned to the Law Offices of Joseph A. Marra to assist families with the administration of estates following the loss of a loved one. Her work includes preparing accountings and other documentation for submission to Surrogate’s Court, while providing clients with compassionate guidance through the legal process.
In addition to her legal practice, Jennifer has served for many years as an Adjunct Professor in the Paralegal Studies Department at Rockland Community College. She teaches courses covering areas such as real estate transactions, elder law and estate planning, civil litigation, legal research and writing, computer legal applications, and contract law and litigation. She has also served on the college’s Paralegal Advisory Board, helping advise students preparing to enter the legal profession. Jennifer is admitted to practice law in New York.
