About Michael
Michael Block is a New York traffic ticket attorney who has been practicing law since 1986. He earned his bachelor’s degree in History from SUNY Stony Brook before obtaining his Juris Doctor from SUNY Buffalo. After passing the New York State Bar Exam, he began his legal career as an associate attorney with established law firms, including Jacoby & Meyers and Menagh & Trainor. These early years gave him valuable courtroom experience and introduced him to the challenges drivers face when dealing with traffic violations.
While working at these firms, Michael began representing taxi cab union members at traffic hearings. This experience helped him develop a strong understanding of traffic law and the issues that can affect professional drivers. In 1988, he opened his own law firm with a clear focus on traffic ticket defense. Rather than handling a broad range of legal matters, he chose to concentrate on helping drivers contest tickets and navigate traffic-related proceedings.
Over the course of his career, Michael has represented clients throughout New York State in a wide variety of traffic cases. His practice includes speeding tickets, DWI and DUI matters, cell phone violations, commercial truck violations, and Taxi and Limousine Commission safety hearings. With decades of experience devoted to traffic law, he brings a focused approach to representing drivers facing citations and other traffic-related legal challenges.
