About Paul
Paul B. Burkhalter is the Senior Managing Partner at Morgan Weisbrod and has devoted more than three decades to representing individuals seeking Social Security Disability and Veterans Disability benefits. Throughout his career, he has handled thousands of disability claims before administrative law judges, appellate bodies, and federal courts, helping clients navigate complex claims and appeals with practical guidance and dedicated advocacy. In addition to representing clients, he oversees the firm's operations, mentors attorneys, and helps lead its disability law practice.
Before joining Morgan Weisbrod, Paul served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where he represented the Social Security Administration in federal court and evaluated disability decisions for litigation. He is board certified in Social Security Disability Advocacy and is widely recognized for his leadership within the disability law community. Over the years, he has earned numerous professional honors and has remained actively involved in organizations dedicated to advancing disability advocacy and veterans' rights.
