About Michelle
Michelle N. Dreesen is a personal injury attorney with more than two decades of experience representing people who have been injured in accidents and other serious incidents. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, she represents clients in Nebraska and Iowa in matters involving automobile and truck accidents, workplace and construction injuries, medical malpractice, and other personal injury claims. Her approach combines detailed case preparation with a strong understanding of the challenges injured clients face when dealing with insurance companies.
Michelle began her legal career as a law clerk for the Nebraska Court of Appeals, where she developed a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and analysis. She later spent more than a decade representing insurance companies and their insureds in civil litigation. During that time, she also advised insurers on coverage issues involving automobile, business, and workers' compensation policies. This experience gave her valuable insight into how insurance companies evaluate injury claims and the arguments they may use to limit or deny compensation.
In 2012, Michelle joined Ausman Law Firm and shifted her experience toward representing injured individuals. She has since handled personal injury litigation, negotiations, mediations, and trial matters for clients throughout Nebraska and Iowa. Her background on both sides of injury litigation allows her to anticipate insurance-company strategies while building cases designed to pursue fair compensation for her clients.
