About Jennifer
Jennifer L. Ashley is a Partner at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. and a highly experienced trial attorney focused on representing people who have suffered serious injuries and families dealing with wrongful death. Since joining the firm in 2012, she has built a practice centered on personal injury cases involving automobile accidents, premises liability, product liability, and other complex claims. Her work has resulted in more than $70 million recovered for injured clients, reflecting her ability to handle cases from initial investigation through settlement or trial.
What makes Ashley’s experience particularly valuable is her background on both sides of personal injury litigation. Before representing injured individuals, she spent 12 years working for an insurance defense firm. That experience gave her a detailed understanding of how insurers evaluate claims, defend lawsuits, and approach settlement negotiations. She has since tried more than 100 cases before juries and has negotiated and resolved more than 1,000 cases during her career. Her successful verdicts have also been published more than 75 times in the Cook County Jury Verdict Reporter.
Ashley has handled cases involving catastrophic injuries and devastating losses, including a $16 million settlement for a client who suffered a below-the-knee amputation and a $10.5 million jury verdict for the family of a kindergarten teacher killed by a speeding dump truck. Her accomplishments have earned recognition from the legal community, including the 2026 Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” honor for Product Liability Law – Plaintiffs in Chicago. She has also repeatedly been recognized by Illinois Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers.
Beyond courtroom advocacy, Ashley places considerable importance on communication and personal attention. She takes time to understand how an injury has affected her clients and their families and remains involved throughout the legal process. She also contributes to the broader legal community through leadership with the Lake County Bar Association, service as an arbitrator in Cook and Lake Counties, and pro bono work with Prairie State Legal Services. Her combination of trial experience, insurance-defense insight, and client-focused representation has made her a respected advocate for injured individuals and their families.
