About William
William Stewart is a Delaware personal injury and workers’ compensation attorney with Pratcher Krayer LLC. He represents individuals who have been injured and draws on extensive experience on both sides of personal injury litigation. Before representing injured clients, William spent more than a decade defending insurance companies, giving him valuable insight into how insurers evaluate claims, build defenses, and approach settlement negotiations.
William began his legal career with courtroom experience in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he handled misdemeanor trials and preliminary hearings. His later work defending insurance carriers provided a strong foundation in personal injury litigation before he transitioned to representing injured individuals. Since joining the plaintiff-side practice, he has continued to advocate for clients in personal injury and workers’ compensation matters. He successfully tried one of the first personal injury cases following the COVID-19 pandemic, securing a verdict more than four times the insurance company’s final pretrial offer.
Admitted to practice in Delaware and Pennsylvania, William is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association, Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, and American Association for Justice. His professional recognition includes selection to the 2026 Super Lawyers list for Delaware, along with personal injury attorney honors for 2025–2026. Outside the courtroom, he spends much of his free time coaching youth sports throughout New Castle County.
