About Jon
Jon A. August is a Connecticut personal injury and workers’ compensation attorney and a member of Miller, Rosnick, D’Amico, August & Butler, P.C. in Bridgeport. Since being admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1981, he has focused much of his practice on representing injured employees, including municipal police officers and firefighters, while also handling personal injury claims arising from serious accidents. His work includes workers’ compensation disputes, workplace injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and other cases involving significant physical and financial losses.
Jon brings extensive experience to cases involving injured workers and has represented clients through negotiations, hearings, mediation, arbitration, and litigation. He previously served as a Hearing Officer for the Bridgeport Board of Education from 1995 to 2006, an experience that added to his understanding of administrative proceedings and dispute resolution. Jon obtained a reported $4.5 million workers’ compensation settlement for a young worker who suffered severe injuries after falling from a roof. He also obtained a $2 million recovery for a construction laborer left paralyzed below the waist following a workplace injury and participated in a $2.26 million recovery for a young man who suffered a life-ending injury in a vehicle collision. His experience combines long-standing advocacy for injured workers with a practical understanding of negotiation and dispute resolution.
