About Kirby
Kirby Farris is the managing partner of Farris, Riley & Pitt, LLP and has over 20 years of experience representing victims of personal injury, wrongful death, and railroad worker injuries under the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA). A former Norfolk Southern Railway laborer for 11 years, Kirby brings first-hand understanding to workplace injury cases, especially those involving railroad workers. He is a Designated FELA Counsel for the Transportation Communications Union (TCU) and has secured numerous multimillion-dollar settlements, including national FLSA class actions.
Kirby earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Alabama and his J.D. from Birmingham School of Law, where he later taught torts and civil procedure as an associate professor. He is a member of the Alabama, Birmingham, and American Bar Associations, as well as the Alabama and American Associations for Justice.
